How does the recorded player get The Lich?
FactoryOfMyths’ video describes grinding Lich portals, shows a montage of victory screens, and then shows the Secret unit in the squad. The creator reports clearing 26 portals before obtaining it. That is one player’s account of the grind, not a requirement or a guaranteed number of clears.
Start with the portal-run context at 0:17 and the acquired-unit segment at 1:03. The montage does not document every entry step or every individual reward roll. We have not independently established a complete Portal acquisition route from this video, so this page does not send you to a specific summon banner.
Is Lich Ooze the same as The Lich?
No: the reviewed footage distinguishes an item reward from the hero. A victory screen in the montage lists Lich Ooze; later the evolution menu consumes Ooze to evolve an already selected The Lich. Receiving the item does not by itself establish that the Secret hero dropped.
Check your hero inventory separately from your item inventory. This avoids treating an evolution-material reward as a successful hero unlock.
What is the Jake the Lich evolution recipe?
At 3:58, the Enchiridion panel shows The Lich on the left and Jake the Lich as the Secret evolved target on the right. The two material rows are:
- 5 Lich Ooze: the player has 34/5; 34 is owned and 5 is required.
- 10 Enchiridion Pages: the panel shows 10/10.
Both rows are ready in the recording. No Gem row is displayed in that captured recipe; this is not a promise that the current game will never charge Gems. Check your own current panel before confirming.
Jake the Lich is not Alien Jake. This panel selects The Lich as the base hero. The ordinary Jake → Alien Jake recipe uses different materials; the shared name “Jake” is not a reason to substitute one unit or recipe for the other.
What should I check before evolving?
- 01
Select The Lich at the Shrine
Confirm the base unit and evolved target in the Enchiridion menu. Do not use the ordinary Jake recipe or confuse the evolution station with a trait reroll.
- 02
Check the material requirements
Read each owned/required pair. Save enough Pages for the evolution you actually intend; the recorded ten-Page requirement differs from Alien Jake’s five. If Pages are the missing row, use the Enchiridion Pages and Dungeon Train checklist; a Portal reward containing Ooze does not establish that it also supplies Pages.
- 03
Inspect the completed hero
The profile at 4:19 shows Jake the Lich, Secret, level 50. After any evolution, check your own result and team before starting a new run.
Does 26 portal clears guarantee The Lich?
No. The creator’s 26-clear report describes that player’s experience. It does not demonstrate a pity system, a fixed unlock threshold or how long your account will take. We have not independently verified current Portal or hero drop rates here.
Likewise, the level-50 hero in the evolution example does not prove a minimum evolution level. The menu says evolution preserves level, XP and trait, but this particular evolved profile has No Trait; it is not a test of retaining a rare trait.
